ライオンは歯が丈夫やからかな。
江戸やそのもっと前の人はどうやって歯を磨いてはったんかな？

どうやら平安〜鎌倉時代には庶民には、歯磨き文化が広まっていた模様。
歯磨き粉に関しては、日本では江戸時代に初めて製造されたらしい。
それまでは、主に塩で歯磨きをしていた。

そういや、ウチのじじいも塩で歯磨きしてたなぁ。

世界でみてみると、木の枝を折って、先を割いてやわらかくしてハミガキしたりしている民族もいる。歯茎も強くなくちゃ痛そうに思うけど、それらが歯ブラシのルーツを感じますね。

塩でハミガキっていうのは”つぶ塩”ハミガキチューブに通じるのかなぁ。
初めて使ったとき、しょっぱさに違和感あったなぁ。
