セヴィルロウ…
朝目覚めてぼんやり浮かんでいた言葉。
考えるでもなく頭に浮かんでいた言葉。
この単語がナニを意味していたかも覚えてないその言葉。
頭の隅でずっと考えながら、ミルクたっぷりコーヒーを飲んで。
でもまるっきりピンとくるわけでもなくシャワーを浴びて目を覚まして。
それでもまるっきりピンとこなくって朝の身支度をして。
すっきりしないけど、時間だけは刻々と過ぎていて。
ぼんやりしながら会社へてくてく。
なんだったっの？…と思ってデスクについて、仕事しながらも頭の隅に”セヴィルロウ”。
ランチでヒトとしゃべってても頭の隅には”セヴィルロウ”。
午後も仕事しながら、電話をうけながら頭の隅に居座ったままの”セヴィルロウ”。
ぼんやり
ぼーんやり
帰り道、てくてくてくてく。
サラリーマン2人組とすれ違う。
あ。
わかった。
そして、12時間くらい考えていた自分に苦笑い。
背広の語源のセヴィルロウ。
でも、なんで朝一でそんな言葉が頭にあったのだろう…。

「セヴィルロウ（Savile Row)」は、ロンドンの小さな通りの名。名だたる紳士服の仕立て屋が並び、日本語の「背広」の語源であるとも言われています。
